Northwood Technical College is accepting applications for a full-time, limited-term Career Planner – WIOA Services position at the Rice Lake Campus.
The Career Planner supports the Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA) Adult and Dislocated Worker Program. This program assists eligible adults and individuals who have lost their jobs due to layoffs, closures, or other economic changes, in overcoming barriers to employment, advancing their skills, and re-entering the workforce.
This role will have diverse responsibilities, including outreach, eligibility screening, comprehensive assessment, and intake for program participants. You will advocate for these individuals, helping them access valuable community resources, guiding them toward educational and career pathways, and assisting with their enrollment in post-secondary education.
Furthermore, your role involves establishing connections with local businesses to facilitate paid training opportunities and job readiness programs for program participants. Additionally, you will collaborate with the College to accept referrals and work closely with faculty and advisors to support and guide students in their educational and career journeys.
