Overview

Northwood Technical College is seeking applications from qualified candidates for a part-time/LTE EduSTAT Data and Administrative Assistant at any campus location. (Ashland, New Richmond, Rice Lake or Superior)

 

The Data and Administrative Assistant will provide essential support for grant-funded initiatives and program evaluation, with a focus on data collection, analysis, and administrative coordination. This role supports projects such as EduSTAT and other healthcare-focused education efforts. The individual will help collect and organize data related to student engagement, faculty feedback, learning outcomes, and simulation activities, contributing to continuous improvement and grant reporting requirements.

 

This position is 100% grant-funded until Feb 28, 2027. Education and Support for Triaging and Accelerating Training in Rural Healthcare (EduSTAT in Rural Healthcare), funded through the U.S. Department of Labor (DOL) Strengthening Community Colleges Training (Round 3) program.

 

**This position involves duties that could be performed in a remote or off-site environment. Campus-based duties are minimal, requiring in-person availability approximately 2-3 times per month.

  • Survey Coordination and Data Collection:

    • Develop, distribute, and analyze student and faculty surveys regarding OER (Open Educational Resources) course satisfaction and telehealth simulation effectiveness.
    • Collect feedback related to immersive simulation room experiences.
    • Support survey efforts for evaluating the sustainability and value of the Rural Healthcare Learning Community.

    Grant Reporting Support:

    • Track and report key performance indicators for grant-funded activities.
    • Assist in monitoring credit for prior learning metrics, including baseline data and growth comparisons by quarter.
    • Maintain updated records on PIRL data (Participant Individual Record Layout) and support ongoing collection even after minimum thresholds are met.

    Data Monitoring and Compilation:

    • Track which courses and how many students are using OER Medical Terminology resources.
    • Monitor and document course integration of telehealth scenarios and standardized patient activities.
    • Assist in assessing impact metrics for programming at the Health Education Center (HEC), including student outreach during tours and follow-up interest levels.

    Administrative Assistance:

    • Compile data and written summaries for use in grant narratives and renewal applications.
    • Provide support to faculty and project coordinators in organizing feedback, scheduling surveys, and documenting project outcomes.
    • Record and track usage metrics for scenario subscriptions and simulation tools to help inform future purchasing decisions.

    Stakeholder Communication and Feedback:

    • Gather verbal and written feedback from students, faculty, and community visitors about the effectiveness and usefulness of immersive educational tools and scenarios.
    • Prepare summary reports to help guide decision-making on resource investments, such as locally created simulations vs. subscription-based platforms.

Qualifications

Degree & Experience Required:

  • Associate’s degree in related field or equivalent*
  • Three years related work experience

*Equivalent educational/occupational experience may be a high school diploma plus 6-7 years of relevant experience

 

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Ability to communicate effectively both written and verbally
  • Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office suite and the ability to effectively apply technology to tasks and projects
  • Ability to contribute to a team environment while maintaining positivity and professionalism
  • Strong customer service skills that focus on creative problem solving
  • Time management skills that apply organization and prioritization demonstrating the ability to multitask and work independently
  • Ability to obtain driver’s license and insurance coverage in accordance with College policy

Salary

FY26 Salary - Grade I - $23.79 / hour
